Donovan Hanna, a 6-foot-5, 230-pound tight end prospect from the American Leadership Academy in Queen Creek, Arizona, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for BYU.
Hanna received a 78.84 composite rating from 247Sports, making him a two-star prospect and the 32nd best prospect in the state of Arizona this year.
Hanna’s offensive coordinator is former BYU quarterback Max Hall. Hanna didn’t receive a lot of attention on the national recruiting scene, but BYU coaches’ trusted the evaluation of Hall enough to offer him a scholarship.
Hanna’s future position at BYU is still a bit up in the air. He also played defensive end in high school, so he could could play on either the offensive or defensive side of the ball during his time at BYU. Hanna was also an all-state basketball player.
