BYU Football Spring Recap, Week 2

Twitter roundup of BYU spring ball

NCAA Football: Utah State at Brigham Young Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

BYU has concluded week two of spring practices. With the big win over Gonzaga, and the WCC tournament, spring ball has been rather quiet this season.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing, as injuries are often the biggest stories to come out of spring practices. BYU has avoided any notable injuries (knock on wood) thus far during spring practices.

Here is a tweet roundup of highlights during BYU’s second week of camp:

Coach Steve Kaufusi has moved to linebackers’ coach, and Coach Tuiaki is now the DC/DL coach:

RB Ula Tolutau has established himself as a leader to be BYU’s feature back:

Beau Hoge looks to have made progress in his bid to be Tanner Mangum’s backup QB:

Junior speedster Zayne Anderson has made a name for himself at the safety position:

After redshirting last year, freshman OL Kieffer Longson has been living up the hype he had coming out of high school:

There’s been some confusion as to WR Inoke Lotulelei’s status on the team, but he has been participating in practices:

Other tidbits:

Here are some videos from this week’s practices:

BYU will resume practice next week, including a Friday trip down south to St. George.
