BYU has concluded week two of spring practices. With the big win over Gonzaga, and the WCC tournament, spring ball has been rather quiet this season.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing, as injuries are often the biggest stories to come out of spring practices. BYU has avoided any notable injuries (knock on wood) thus far during spring practices.
Here is a tweet roundup of highlights during BYU’s second week of camp:
Coach Steve Kaufusi has moved to linebackers’ coach, and Coach Tuiaki is now the DC/DL coach:

I like the Kaufusi move to LB's coach.
Gilford was an excellent hire for DB's.
RB Ula Tolutau has established himself as a leader to be BYU’s feature back:

The connection between Mangum and Moroni Pututau at TE.
More are hopping on the "Ula Tolutau is gonna get A TON of carries" train. Welcome aboard, y'all. That mission weight won't be a problem.

Beau Hoge looks to have made progress in his bid to be Tanner Mangum’s backup QB:
Backup QB spot still up for grabs, but during today's session Beau Hoge looked really good and completed most of his passes. #BYUFootball

Junior speedster Zayne Anderson has made a name for himself at the safety position:
"Zayne Anderson has been seeing most of the reps alongside Micah Hanneman." @criddler21 on the BYU safeties.

After redshirting last year, freshman OL Kieffer Longson has been living up the hype he had coming out of high school:
"Kieffer Longson, I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up starting." @criddler21

@ACEide93 says Kieffer Longson is "half man, half Grizzly bear."

There’s been some confusion as to WR Inoke Lotulelei’s status on the team, but he has been participating in practices:

I asked Ty Detmer to compare @tannermangum's arm to a gun...

He called Tanner Mangum's arm a 300 mag.
