BYU picked up a big commitment today from Lehi tight end Dallin Holker, which he announced on Twitter earlier today.

Holker, a 6’4” 225 lbs. tight end out of Lehi, had a monster year in 2016, hauling in 105 catches for 1296 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Cougars were the third team to extend an offer (Southern Utah and Utah State were first to the party) with Oregon State and Colorado State also extending offers. Dallin is the first tight end in the 2018 class to verbally commit to BYU.

BYU has been busy working on their 2018 recruiting class, as they try to target high profile talent like quarterback Tanner McKee and linebacker Merlin Robertson. Adding a solid offensive skill player like Holker will help in making a case for BYU landing McKee, who holds offers from Alabama, Texas, UCLA, Nebraska and a host of other schools.

Holker’s commitment is the 9th verbal commitment for BYU’s 2018 recruiting class.
