To say that Taysom Hill’s career has been a roller coaster ride would be an understatement. That career will now continue as Hill signs with the Green Bay Packers as a free-agent. Hopefully, the rest of his ride goes smoothly.
This is a name QB coaches love: #BYU QB Taysom Hill has signed with the #Packers. If he can stay healthy, a lot there.

Hill will bring size, speed and athleticism to the Packers. Outside of his 4.44 speed, perhaps his greatest strengths are his leadership and maturity. Taysom is 26 years old, and while that certainly brings some skepticism for upside at the next level, it also alleviates concerns about his behavior off the field. Another attribute that all recognize is Taysom’s work ethic.
Perhaps Hill’s biggest weakness is his downfield accuracy. With him at the helm, BYU almost never took shots down the field simply because that is not Taysom’s strength. This concern has been so strong that many have speculated that perhaps he won’t play quarterback at the next level but another position, like safety.
The focus for Taysom now shifts to making the roster and continuing his dream as an NFL player.
Congrats, Taysom, Cougar Nation wishes you the best!
