Post Practice Interviews: Kalani Sitake and Corbin Kaufusi
After practice Kalani was back answering questions and this time Corbin Kaufusi was made available to the media. Kalani discussed his approach on early signing day, the progress he saw in the offense and who he sees as some impact players on the defensive line. Corbin talked about how the defensive coaches have helped install confidence in the players by building on the foundation from what they established last season. He also discussed his difficult decision to focus 100% on football.
Wide Receivers starting to turn heads
Coming into camp the wide receiver position group was one of the most intriguing, mostly because there isn’t a whole lot of returning experience. Jonah Trinnaman and Aleva Hifo are two familiar faces but other than that the rest of the unit will be relatively fresh, with 10 of the 14 receivers being underclassmen. Micah Simon and Akile Davis are both coming off of red shirt seasons and Talon and Rickey Shumway have seen limited playing time. Greg Wrubell seems to be optimistic that they will find success.
I'm excited to see the BYU WR group perform in '17. They don't have a lot of numbers now, but they soon will. I think it's a talented bunch.

More beautiful practice footage
We won’t go into too much detail here but be on the lookout for Ty Detmer’s soft hands, Dayan Ghanwoloku playing some stellar pass defense and Francis Bernard getting physical even without full pads.
