The Packers’ plan to waive former BYU QB Taysom Hill and get him on their practice squad was foiled by the Saints Sunday morning. According to multiple sources, the Saints have claimed Hill off waivers.

Quarterbacks currently on the Saints’ roster: Drew Brees (from one all-time great QB’s tutelage to another) and Chase Daniel (out of Missouri, been in the league since 2009 — but also new to the Saints this year [although he played for them once before from 2009-2012]).
The Saints waived two QBs in the process of getting their roster down to 53 men this weekend — Garrett Grayson and Ryan Nassib.
The Saints were undoubtedly impressed with the athleticism Hill displayed in his preseason time with the Packers. Hopefully New Orleans will be the right fit! And hopefully it will go better for him there than it did for the Cougars Saturday.
If you're unfamiliar with new Saints QB Taysom Hill, he's a great runner with some moves. https://t.co/EV0PX09sgs

The end of Saturday saw eight remaining former Cougs left on NFL rosters. So now there are nine. Cuts included Jordan Leslie from the Browns (where Kai Nacua made the 53-man roster) and De’Ondre Wesley from the Ravens. The likes of Mitch Matthews for the Dolphins and Colby Pearson for the Packers were cut earlier in the week.
