Provo, Utah — After a tough one-point loss at Pacific, BYU returned to the comfy confines of the Marriott Center for a 83-63 win over Pepperdine.
Pepperdine kept the game close in the first half, but BYU stretched the lead quickly in the second half and never looked back for the remainder of the night.
As has been the case often this season, BYU was led by the dynamic duo of Yoeli Childs and Elijah Bryant. Bryant finished with 25 points, and had one of the most efficient shooting nights of his career (8-12, 5-8 from 3-point range, 4-4 FT). Childs was equally efficient (8-11), and finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
In an effort to increase spacing on the offensive end, BYU started Zac Seljaas started in the place of Luke Worthington. Seljaas responded with 8 points (3-3 shooting), 4 assists and 3 rebounds.
BYU now hits the road for a game at Santa Clara on Saturday.
