Tom Holmoe continues to build the Cougars future schedule with the addition of another P5 opponent on the East Coast.
BYU announced today a home-and-home series with North Carolina State that will see the Cougars and Wolfpack facing off in 2024 and 2030.

Per the press release, the first game of the series will be at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, North Carolina, on November 9, 2024. The return trip to Provo is scheduled for August 29th, 2030. It will be the first time that the two schools will face each other in football.
One of the strong points of this deal is the fact that one of the games will be played in November. BYU has been able to secure quality opponents a few years into independence but the schedules have been heavily front-loaded due to the opponents demands of conference scheduling.
NC State is the fourth game that BYU has locked in for the 2024 season and their second for the 2030 season. They will already be traveling to Greenville, North Carolina to face East Carolina in October of 2024 before heading back to the Tar Heel State to play NC State in Raleigh. In 2030 the only other opponent (for now) is another ACC foe in Virginia Tech.
And for all of those wondering, yes, we will all be very old and traveling to the game in a self-driving car once 2030 rolls around. On the bright side it should be enough time for BYU to get their offense turned around.
