BYU Football Recruiting: Cougars land 2018 LB commit out of Southern California; extend offer to 2019 DB / WR

BYU added another piece to is 2018 class

A couple of pieces of recruiting news today coming out of Southern California for BYU, as they added a commit to the 2018 class and extended an offer to a defensive back in the 2019 class.

Alexander Miskela, a linebacker out of Bellflower, CA, announced on Twitter that he had committed to play for BYU. The 6’2’’, 220 lbs defensive standout made the transition from defensive lineman to linebacker in his senior season after transferring from St. John Bosco to Los Alamitos. The move gave him more attention from D1 schools as he was able to play a position that was a better fit for his size.

BYU also extended an offer to 2019 CB / WR JL Skinner out of Point Loma, CA. The 6’3’’, 185 lbs. athlete with excellent ball hawking skills played both ways his junior season and also plays basketball. BYU is the first school to offer Skinner a scholarship.
