Squally Canada out, Dayan Ghanwoloku back
OC Jeff Grimes said on Monday that Squally Canada is questionable, and Greg Wrubell confirmed that Squally Canada will be out tonight.
Squally has been struggling with an ankle issue since the Wisconsin game and has been limited the past few games. In his place, look for freshman Lopini Katoa to get the majority of the carries and Riley Burt to be the number two guy. Katoa has 180 rushing yards and 4 total TDs on the season and is tied for the team lead with 18 receptions.
On a positive note, BYU will get a much needed boost in the secondary with starting safety Dayan Ghanwoloku back. Dayan suffered an ankle injury early in the Wisconsin game and has been out since. Hawaii boasts one of the nation’s most potent passing attacks, so Dayan is a much needed addition.
