The Broncos are currently 5-2 and coming off a 56-28 victory at home versus Colorado State. After putting up over 56 points in each of their first two games of the year, Boise State has come back to earth a bit and haven’t looked quite as dominant as they did early in the season. Following a 44-21 loss at Oklahoma State, they lost on the blue turf to San Diego State and had a narrow 4-point win at Nevada.
They travel this week to Air Force (3-4) prior to the matchup with BYU. The Cougars play a tough Northern Illinois team before looking to get their first ever win on the blue turf.
To add an extra layer to the game, BYU starting QB Zach Wilson was a Boise State commit before de-committing from the Broncos and signing with BYU. If things hold, Boise State will be Wilson’s first career road start.
