The 6-foot-4, 265 pounds Offensive Tackle from Cypress, Texas (Cypress Woods HS) said that he will come to BYU after serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, meaning he will join the team in 2021.
Gunderson’s other scholarship offers include Purdue, North Texas, UTEP, Utah State, Army, Air Force, New Mexico and UNLV.
Brock is also a member of Cy Woods’ basketball team, and that athleticism and agility is evident on film. He consistently gets to the second level of the defense and moves guys off the ball to open up holes in the running game.
Gunderson is the second OL commitment in the 2019 class and the second one from the state of Texas.
The early signing period for 2019 recruits is December 19-21, with the regular signing day afterwards on February 6.
