After three easy wins on the hardwood last week, BYU looks ahead to Rice and a big game against Dave Rose’s alma mater, Houston, this week.

In the third episode of our brand new, all-hoops podcast, Shut Up and Jimmer, Vanquish The Foe’s own Steve Pierce and Robby McCombs discuss what we learned from last week’s three blowout win over Northwestern State, Oral Roberts and Alabama A&M. How big of a worry is three-point shooting moving forward? What is BYU’s best lineup(s) moving forward? And just how good is Connor Harding? (Spoiler: We like him a lot and may rename the podcast after him.)

We also look ahead to this week’s upcoming matchups with two Texas schools: perennially lowly Rice and a very good Houston squad. What does BYU need to take down those other Cougars — a team that was a buzzer beater away from advancing to the Sweet 16 last year?

And finally, we break down the three signings from the 2019 recruiting class and look ahead to three promising 2020 players BYU recently offered from nearby Wasatch Academy.

Shut Up and Jimmer is available on all major podcast platforms — including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts and Stitcher. We’ll release new episodes weekly on Mondays throughout the season, where we’ll break down the latest action from the boys in blue, look ahead to future matchups and maybe even talk a little recruiting.
