For the first time since Nov. 6, BYU Basketball will play on the road. The Cougars are in Normal, Illinois to take on the Redbirds of Illinois State.
BYU is coming off of a disappointing 76-62 loss to Houston. Both BYU and Illinois State are 5-2 on the season. Illinois State has three wins and zero losses on their home court.
Illinois State hails from the Missouri Valley Conference, with the likes of last year’s March Madness Cinderella, Loyola-Chicago.
A road win against the Redbirds would certainly bolster BYU’s tournament resume. ESPN’s matchup predictor gives BYU a 54 percent chance to win the game, so expect it to be pretty evenly matched.
