Get ready for a late (and probably cold) game on Senior night.
BYU announced that their Saturday, November 17 matchup versus New Mexico State will kickoff at 8:15 MST on ESPN2. The game is part of a home triple header with women’s and men’s basketball. The women’s basketball team will start the day off by playing Eastern Washington, followed by the men’s team playing Alabama A&M.
This will be the third meeting between the Aggies and Cougars, with BYU winning the first two games of the series in 2011 and 2012. New Mexico State is one six FBS independent teams.
New Mexico State is currently 3-7 on the year and has one of the worst defenses in the country. They are 127th in the nation in scoring defense, allowing 42.3 points per game. This week’s opponent, UMass, is 126th in the nation in points allowed, so BYU will have the opportunity to (hopefully) put some points on the board before the Holy War on Thanksgiving weekend.
The Mexico State matchup will be the final home game of the season, meaning fans will have one last chance to see the graduating seniors on Senior Night. And if you are staying home to watch it, at least the ESPN2 slot makes it easier to find.
