Hey there, Cougar fans! It’s another week of back-to-back BYU Basketball wins, including an exciting overtime win at the Marriott Center, and love is in the air all around, which can only mean one thing—the return of #BYUValentines! That’s right, your (and our) favorite tradition is back, and as always, we are giving prizes to the best BYU football and basketball valentines! Email, tweet, or facebook us the #BYUValentines that you create and you could win a Boney Fuller t-shirt, a long-sleeved BYU Basketball shirt, or a signed picture of Coach Rose or Elijah Bryant. Awesome (or terrible) puns and word play on names or jersey numbers are encouraged! We can’t wait to see what you come up with.

After losing to LMU and Gonzaga in the same week, BYU Basketball got back on the winning track at home, defeating Santa Clara 80-58 and then outlasting San Francisco 75-73 after some late-game heroics by the Cougars sent the game to overtime. Starting with what went wrong, Coaching from the Couch is starting to sound like a broken record. Turnovers and points off of those turnovers are still plaguing the Cougars. And what’s happened to guys like Jashire Hardnett and Zac Seljaas, who have struggled the past few games? Here’s to hoping they find their footing quickly. As for what went right, the Cougars didn’t start out the game against San Francisco very well, but the fought hard even when they were down by 7 with less than a minute to go, forcing overtime and then valuing possessions in that overtime to get the win. That kind of experience and mentality will be important heading into the postseason!
A good portion of BYU's 11 turnovers have been what Dave Rose calls "live turnovers." Dons have five steals, mostly from lazy passes. Dons have 19 points off turnovers.

In Talk of the Town this week, BYU Football finally added its 10th coach, AJ Steward from Rice University, who will be coaching the running backs. And who knows—maybe he and Squally Canada will collaborate on a new BYU Football anthem! BYU Basketball had a few celebrities in attendance at the Marriott Center this week, as Austin Collie and Dennis Pitta came to town for Thursday night’s game, and Donny Osmond and his grandson celebrated that overtime win on Saturday! And of course, we had to extend a massive congratulations for Kyle Collinsworth, who signed a three-year deal with his childhood NBA team, the Dallas Mavericks. Congrats, King Collinsworth!
Always good to see these guys! You know, @AKCollie_17 and @dennispitta have a bit of style off the field, too. #BetweenTwoNFLFerns #BYU #BYUSN pic.twitter.com/DT0wLff40J
