BYU Basketball will face the Pepperdine Waves Thursday night in Malibu, California. The match-up happens in the wake of news that broke Tuesday, that Marty Wilson has been fired (though he will continue to coach the rest of the season). It will be interesting to see if or how this development affects play from either team.
Pepperdine is 4-22 overall, and 1-13 in conference. Their lone WCC win was a 71-70 victory over LMU back on Jan. 25. BYU is after its 21st win of the season. The Cougars are 9-5 in the WCC, sitting in third place. Pepperdine is on a five-game losing streak. The Cougars and the Waves last faced each other on Jan. 11 and the Cougars won, 83-63.
