BYU fans can breath a sigh of relief, as 2018 WR Gunner Romney confirmed on ESPN960 that he will sign with BYU on Wednesday and play for the Cougars in 2018.
Gunner Romney confirmed that he will arrive at #BYU this summer and play for the Cougars in 2018. @CriddleBenjamin reported that back in September.

This is a huge get for BYU"s signing class. Phenomenal athlete & a master of his craft. Almost set an Arizona state record for receiving this last year despite missing games due to injury.
Romney committed to BYU over the summer, but considered Arizona State stronger over the past several months.
The news that he will officially play for BYU right away rather than going on a mission first is big too, as he will compete for one of the top WR spots in Fall camp.
Romney really burst onto the national scene after a strong performance in July at The Opening, which is a showcase for the nation’s top recruits at Nike’s headquarters in Oregon. He was one of the top receivers at the camp and caught the eye of many national recruiting pundits.
Romney proved this year that he was one of the top receivers out West, as he finished his senior year with 80 receptions, 1554 yards and 19 touchdowns; Romney did all of this despite missing four games. His QB was 4-star 2019 recruit Jacob Conover, who is a top priority for BYU in next year’s recruiting class.
Look for more coverage of Romney and other signees at Vanquish the Foe when National Signing Day rolls around on Wednesday.
