With the New Orleans Saints re-signing QB Drew Brees to a two-year extension before free agency hits, questions have popped up about who will be the future hall of famer’s successor.
Taysom has already received rave reviews from Fox analysts Joe Buck and Troy Aikman (who spoke to HC Sean Payton), and has received high praise again from people inside the Saints organization.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, people with the Saints view Taysom as the Saints “possible quarterback of the future.” Another person told Rapoport that Taysom is “further along now than where Tony Romo was when he came out as an undrafted free agent.”
With Taysom in the building, the Saints may elect to not draft a quarterback and instead focus on developing Taysom for the next couple years until Dree Brees retires.
