Kyle Collinsworth makes first career NBA start for the Dallas Mavericks

Great accomplishment for the triple double king!

NBA: Los Angeles Lakers at Dallas Mavericks Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

After making his NBA debut earlier this season with the Dallas Mavericks, Kyle Collinsworth got his first career NBA start in his 23rd game versus the Brooklyn Nets Saturday night.

Kyle logged 17 minutes, and finished with 4 points, 7 rebounds (4 offensive) and 1 assist; his 7 rebounds were tied for the team lead.

Kyle’s start came less than a week after logging a season-high 10 rebounds versus the Houston Rockets. Rebounding has been one of Kyle’s biggest strengths in his short time in the NBA, as he has had four games with seven or more boards. Out of his 71 rebounds on the year, 24 have come on the offensive glass, which are a testament to Kyle’s hustle and elite rebounding ability for a guard.

The Mavericks next game is Tuesday night on the road versus the New Orleans Pelicans.

Congrats to Kyle for representing Cougar Nation and making BYU fans everywhere proud!
