BYU DT Tomasi Laulile has signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Indianapolis Colts. Former teammate Tevita Mo’unga was one of the first to break the news:
Colts got a steal with @TomasiLaulile best DT in the draft!
— Tevita Mounga (@mounga50) April 28, 2018
Laulile missed the the 2017 season for academic reasons, but was productive when he was on the field during his time at BYU. During his sophomore and junior seasons at BYU, Laulile totaled 39 tackles, 6 sacks and a memorable fumble recovery that he returned 42 yards for a TD at Utah State in 2015.
At 6’4”, 301 pounds, Laulile is an athletic tackle that is still fairly new to the game of football. Laulile ran a 4.77 40-yard dash at his pro day and put up 21 reps on the bench press. He played for only two years at Westlake High School in California before signing with BYU, and played three seasons at BYU.
Best of luck to Tomasi as he begins his NFL journey!
