Kyle Collinsworth Stuffs the Stat Sheet for Dallas Mavericks in his Best NBA Game

Nice night for the former BYU Star!

NBA: Dallas Mavericks at Denver Nuggets Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

With a handful of Dallas Mavericks out in Wednesday’s game versus the Orlando Magic, Kyle Collinsworth made the most of his opportunity as the former BYU star played 35 minutes and finished with 13 points, 9 rebounds in and 6 assists in the Mavs 105-100 loss at Orlando.

Starters Dirk Nowitzki, Harrison Barnes, Wes Matthews and Dennis Smith Jr all sat out, and veteran guard JJ Barea suffered an injury early in the second half that allowed Collinsworth to see the floor more.

Kyle’s 13 points and 6 assists were each season highs for him, and the 9 rebounds was his second highest rebound total of the year.

With Dirk Nowitzki, JJ Barea, Wesley Matthews, Seth Curry and Nerlens Noel all expected to miss the team’s final three games, Collinsworth will have a golden opportunity to prove that he can stick in the NBA if he can build on Wednesday’s performance.

After stuffing the stat sheet in Orlando, the NCAA triple double king will look to make a name for himself and secure a guaranteed contract for next season.

The Mavericks next game is Friday night at Detroit.

Here are some highlights from Collinsworth’s performance last night. Highlights for Kyle start at the 1:15 mark.
