After getting released by the Cleveland Browns over the weekend, former BYU safety Kai Nacua is headed to the Baltimore Ravens to team up with his former teammate Bronson Kaufusi. Nacua was claimed off waivers by the Ravens Tuesday afternoon.

Nacua is coming off a season where he appeared in 14 games for the Browns, starting in three of them. Kai played over 200 snaps on the defensive side of the ball and another 140 on special teams, recording 14 total tackles on the season.
The Ravens have Tony Jefferson and Eric Weddle likely locked into the starting safety spots, so Nacua will competing for a reserve role as he fights to make the 53-man roster.
The Ravens drafted one safety in last weekend’s draft, as they picked Texas safety DeShon Elliott in the sixth round.
Best of luck to Kai as he continues his NFL journey! The Ravens are getting one heck of a ball hawk.
