Former BYU WR Jonah Trinnaman to work out with New York Jets and Green Bay Packers

Jonah will getting a shot as a DB

After getting cut by the Arizona Cardinals, former BYU speedster Jonah Trinnaman is getting a couple more NFL shots this week.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, Trinnaman is getting work outs this week with the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers.

The Packers trying out Trinnaman at corner is interesting, but Kalani Sitake has mentioned in the past that he asked Trinnaman to switch over to corner, with Trinnaman content with staying at WR.

Kalani said at BYU’s Pro Day that he tried multiple times to switch Jonah over to corner. “He is a guy that I thought could play cornerback [in the NFL] easily,” Sitake said. “I tried moving him a couple of times. I think he belongs in the NFL. Those times show that he’s a guy that could have a place there, and so hopefully he finds a role with a team that loves him and he can shine on Sundays.”

Although transitioning from WR to CB in the NFL would be very difficult, Jonah has the elite athleticism that NFL coaches would love to mold into a NFL-caliber player.

Best of luck to Jonah as he tries to make an NFL roster!
