With the signing, Brown will compete in the Chiefs training camp and preseason with hopes of making the 53-man roster or practice squad. Brown had stints in the Seattle Seahawks and New York Jets camps last year.
Brown is the third former BYU player currently under contract for the Chiefs, joining Safety Daniel Sorensen and Center Tejan Koroma. Sorensen is currently in the midst of a multi-year contract after starting 14 games last season. Tejan is in a similar position as Brown, in that he will be competing in training camp and preseason in hopes of making the 53-man roster.
Recently graduated DT Handsome Tanielu participated in the Chiefs rookie minicamp, but was not signed by the team.
Congrats to Algie and good luck to him as he continues his NFL journey!
