Remember that “intent to deceive” penalty Max Hall got when he pretended like he was getting a call from the sideline and running back Harvey Unga instead took a direct snap for a touchdown?
Well, it turns out BURRITOS are the culprit for why Max Hall got flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct. According to former BYU offensive lineman Terrence Brown, who was at right guard during that play, Max Hall asked, “Hey Broseph! Did you just throw a burrito out the window?”
Terrence responded to a tweet from BYU fan Ryan Teeples:
I was at RG on this play. This is what Max said when he was walking down the line of scrimmage, "Hey Broseph! Did you just throw a burrito out the window?" The ref said it was intent to deceive. HAHAHA!!!— Terence Brown (@terencekbrown60) August 20, 2018
The touchdown was called back, but BYU didn’t have any problem dispatching Air Force in a 38-21 victory.
Just another story from the legendary career of the all-time winningest quarterback in BYU history.
