BYU will head to Provo south again, as BYU and UNLV announced a home-and-home football series.
BYU will host UNLV in Lavell Edwards Stadium November 4, 2023 and will travel to Las Vegas November 2, 2024. The matchup in Vegas will be at the new 65,000 seat Las Vegas Raiders Stadium. BYU already has a matchup with Arizona in the new Vegas stadium to open the 2021 football season.
In addition to the UNLV series, BYU confirmed that the previously reported North Alabama game will be November 21, 2020 in Provo.
BYU fans always show up well in Vegas, and the chance to play in the new Vegas stadium is another incentive for BYU fans to travel to Vegas for the November game.
BYU now has 7 games scheduled for the 2023 season, and 5 for the 2024 season. Here is how those schedules are shaping up:
2023:
09/02 - Tennessee (or Sept. 1)
09/09 - at Virginia
10/07 - at Houston
10/14 - Boise State
11/04 - UNLV
11/25 - at USC
TBA - Stanford
2024:
09/14 - Hawaii
10/12 - Georgia Southern
10/19 - at East Carolina
11/02 - at UNLV
11/09 - at NC State
With 5 years until the first UNLV game, it will be interesting to see if the new stadium will help the Rebels be more competitive on the gridiron.
