After getting the starting nod at inside linebacker for the 49ers, Fred Warner exceeded expectations with one of the best defensive performances of the opening NFL weekend.
Fred Warner led the 49ers with 12 tackles and added a crucial forced fumble that kept the 49ers in the game. Here’s the video of Warner coming behind Vikings RB Dalvin Cook and forcing the fumble:

Fred’s 12 tackles were the third highest total for the opening NFL weekend. If Fred can keep up this performance, a defensive rookie of the year award could be in his future.
Congrats to Fred on a fantastic NFL debut, and good luck the rest of the season with the 49ers!
