BYU will play FCS foe McNeese State this Saturday while Washington hosts Arizona State prior to the showdown on Lake Washington.
Washington (2-1) is coming off a 21-7 victory over Utah in Salt Lake City and will be looking to keep their college football playoff hopes alive when BYU comes into town.
BYU will have to avoid a let down against McNeese State, who is 3-0 and one of the better teams in the FCS ranks.
Washington and BYU have played 9 times total, with the Huskies leading the all-time series 5-4. They last played in the 2013 Fight Hunger Bowl with Washington winning 31-16. BYU won the last matchup in Seattle in 2008 by a score of 28-27.
With the game on Fox and in primetime, Gus Johnson will likely be on play-by-play duties for the game. In case you forgot, Gus Johnson made this memorable call on a looong Jimmer three pointer during BYU’s 2011 Sweet 16 game versus Florida.
BIG opportunity for BYU. Let’s hope our boys can keep it rolling in the Pacific Northwest.
