BYU has gone from Malibu to San Francisco to play the San Francisco Dons Saturday night. The Cougars came away from Firestone Fieldhouse with an 87-76 win over Pepperdine Thursday and will face a 15-3 San Francisco squad.
The Dons are 3-1 in conference play (BYU is 4-1), with that one loss coming to no. 5 Gonzaga — and the Dons gave the Zags a run for their money. They ended up losing 96-83, but it was close throughout the whole game. San Francisco played at Pacific Thursday and were given a scare by the Tigers. San Francisco only won by one point, 53-52.
San Francisco is certainly having a great year and will be some very tough competition for BYU. ESPN’s Matchup Predictor gives BYU a 21.8 percent chance of winning this one.
