BYU Basketball’s second game of WCC play is on Saturday against the Saint Mary’s Gaels. The Cougars head to Moraga off of a last-minute 90-87 win at Pacific. The win in Stockton was BYU’s first true road win of this season, putting the overall record at 9-7.
While Saint Mary’s is always a force, they’ve definitely had their share of ups and downs so far this season, and began WCC play with a 76-72 loss at San Francisco. The Gaels, like the Cougars, are 9-7 on the year.
SMC had a four game losing streak that began with a loss to Utah State back in Nov. After that losing streak the Gaels went on to win four in a row, then have gone in an alternating W/L pattern in the most recent five games. A W would be next if their pattern were to continue, so BYU fans should hope that it does not.
ESPN’s Matchup Predictor is giving Saint Mary’s a 78.5 percent chance to win this one. Here’s how to watch:
