BYU basketball guard Jahshire Hardnett will reportedly transfer, as first reported here at Vanquish the Foe. So what exactly does that mean for the program?

That is the question Steve Pierce and Robby McCombs tackle in the ninth episode of our all-hoops podcast, Shut Up and Jimmer. You can listen using the player embedded below.

Why did Jahshire decide to transfer? Steve and Robby give some insider perspective into the reasons for why Jahshire ultimately opted to leave the program.

What does his absence mean for the team moving forward into WCC play? We give some pros and cons of what we could see with a Jahshire-less Cougar squad.

And finally, we dive into what this means for the BYU basketball program as a whole. Is it simply another transfer among hundreds of others that routinely happen in college basketball, or does it speak to deeper problems surrounding the program?

Shut Up and Jimmer is available on all major podcast platforms — including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts and Stitcher.
