Several BYU Olympic sports teams were in action this weekend and many picked up good results.
BYU Rugby
BYU continued its dominance with an 85-5 win over Utah Valley on Friday night. The Cougars are undefeated and will close out the season at New Mexico on Saturday.
BYU Hockey
The Hockey team beat Montana State Thursday evening by a score of 3-2 at the Peaks Arena. Montana State was ranked 4th, and the Cougars 18th. The Cougars play on the road this week at Colorado, Northern Colorado, and Metro State, with all three matches being played in Colorado.
BYU Soccer
The women’s soccer team sealed its WCC Title with a blowout win Saturday night over Loyola Marymount by a score of 8-1. The #4 Cougars are the last undefeated team in NCAA women’s soccer, and await their seeding in the NCAA Tournament, which will be released Monday afternoon.
BYU Women’s Basketball
BYU fell to Washington State in Pullman, Washington on Saturday afternoon by a score of 50-67. The Cougars will play Texas A&M Kingsville on Thursday night at the Marriott Center.
BYU Volleyball
The women’s volleyball team is now 22-3 on the season after beating Santa Clara and San Francisco this week. They now prepare for a showdown with conference co-leader San Diego in a match likely to decide the conference title.
