Hopefully that Hawaii sunshine has removed the sting of that disappointing loss BYU last suffered at Boise State. The 3-2 Cougars are in beautiful Maui for the Maui Jim Invitational, where they will first face UCLA (4-1) in the first round on Monday night.

UCLA was unbeaten until their last game, when they lost 88-78 to Hofstra. SUU is a common opponent for the Bruins and the Cougars, and both teams came out victorious. UCLA beat SUU, 76-61 while BYU beat SUU, 68-63. Some of UCLA’s other wins come over UNLV and Long Beach State.
BYU did lose their last game to Boise State at ExtraMile Arena, the score of that one was 72-68 in OT.
Get more info on the Maui Jim Invitational and the full bracket, at this website. If BYU beats UCLA, they will likely face the no. 4 Kansas Jayhawks. The loser of BYU/UCLA will probably face Chaminade.
