The Maui Jim Invitational continues Tuesday for BYU Basketball, as they’ll face the no. 4 Kansas Jayhawks in the second round. We knew this tournament would hold the opportunity to play some very high-caliber teams, and this is one of those.

BYU advanced after defeating UCLA, who is now 4-2, by a score of 78-63 Monday night. The Cougars made an impressive showing against the Bruins, shooting 62 percent on the night (including shooting 50 percent from three). Jake Toolson led all scorers with 20 points. The win brought BYU to 4-2 on the season.

Kansas beat Chaminade by 30 Monday evening, 93-63 the final score. Kansas is 4-1 so far on the year, with that one loss coming to no. 1 Duke, 68-66. ESPN’s Matchup Predictor gives Kansas a 66 percent chance of winning Tuesday’s matchup with BYU, and Vegas has them as an 11-point favorite. But if BYU can shoot 62 percent on the night again, then anything is possible. Find a link to the Maui Jim bracket, here.
