Mary Lake broke BYU’s career digs record Thursday night as the Cougars beat Santa Clara in four sets (25-22, 20-25, 25-23, 25-18).

Lake’s fantastic BYU career added another highlight as she broke the previous record of 1793. Lake’s 21 digs tonight contributed to her new record, and even added a service ace to her tally in the match.

BYU served very well, winning the match on an ace from McKenna Miller, who had 3 aces and 14 kills in the victory. Madelyn Robinson had 15 kills and 12 digs, and Whitney Bower had 38 assists. The Cougars hit .200, which is relatively low for the Cougars.

BYU is now 21-3 on the season and remains tied for the WCC Title chase. BYU will play at San Francisco on Saturday, followed by a showdown at San Diego. BYU will need to win that match in order to stay in control of their destiny for the WCC title.
