BYU Basketball will be back in action Saturday afternoon against UNLV at Vivint Smart Home Arena, after losing at rival Utah earlier this week.
BYU led for the whole game against Utah, until Utah was able to tie it up, and BYU was unable to come up with one more play in regulation. Overtime happened, and Utah came out on top, 102-95. It was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions for Cougar fans, as Yoeli Childs was back in the starting lineup, and had a great game until cramps kept him out of the crucial moments. Also, TJ Haws fouled out with four minutes left in regulation, which did not help matters, either. BYU is 6-4 on the year heading into Saturday’s game.
UNLV is 4-6 on the season. On Wednesday the Rebels beat Fresno State in two overtimes, 81-80. That was their Mountain West opener.
