After a tough loss to rival Utah, BYU bounced back with a 83-50 victory over UNLV in Salt Lake City.
BYU’s great ball movement helped get contributions from all over the floor, as seven players made three pointers in a hot shooting performance for the Cougars. Yoeli Childs looked 100% after struggling with cramps versus Utah, as the senior big man finished with 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Dalton Nixon came off the bench and finished with a career high 17 points on 3-3 shooting from beyond the arc. Nixon’s three-point shooting transformation has been a huge storyline for BYU this season, as the senior forward is shooting 47% from distance.
Alex Barcello and Connor Harding each also finished in double figures as BYU shot 14-27 (51.9%) from beyond the arc.
BYU (7-4) next welcomes Nevada to Provo Tuesday night before a big matchup versus #25 Utah State next Saturday in Salt Lake City.
