BYU basketball put together back-to-back solid wins last week—and to the surprise of many, especially here at Shut Up and Jimmer, the Cougars have put themselves in a solid position to push for a second-place finish in the WCC.

On this week’s podcast, Steve Pierce and Robby McCombs join up once again to discuss the good and the bad of the BYU basketball program. We celebrate the successes of the past week (even while pumping the brakes a bit on the enthusiasm over beating a truly awful Portland squad), and look ahead to what may be BYU’s biggest two-game stretch of the season — this week’s Souther California road trip to San Diego and Loyola Marymount. If BYU wins those games, they get the inside track to the coveted No. 2 seed in the upcoming WCC Tournament. If they lose one or both? Well, that makes things significantly more complicated.

Shut Up and Jimmer is available on all major podcast platforms — including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts and Stitcher. New episodes are released weekly on Mondays throughout the season, where we’ll break down the latest action from the boys in blue, look ahead to future matchups and maybe even talk a little recruiting.
