Happy Valentine’s Day, Cougar Nation! BYU Basketball will play its first of two games on the road this week Thursday night against San Diego.
BYU is holding steady at second place in the WCC for now. Last week, the Cougars whomped on Portland at Portland then beat Pacific, 69-59 at the Marriott Center. BYU is 16-10 overall, 8-3 in the WCC.
San Diego’s season got off to a pretty good start, but they’ve faltered a bit in conference play. The Toreros are 5-5 in the WCC, 16-9 overall. They most recently played at Pepperdine, and barely lost that game, 70-67. San Diego does have a win over third place San Francisco, and they played Gonzaga quite a bit closer than the Cougars did — 85-69, Gonzaga was the final result.
ESPN’s Matchup Predictor gives San Diego a 33 percent chance to win. This game will definitely be a tough test for the Cougars. Here’s how you can watch some Valentine’s Day hoops:
