Before the Cougars series with Santa Clara, the Cougars played Utah in Salt Lake City and beat the Utes 10-3. The win gave the Cougars the Deseret First Duel win for Baseball.

BYU Softball won its 11th straight conference title last Friday, including its sixth-straight WCC title. The Cougars beat Santa Clara 9-2 and 5-3 to seal the title.

The Cougars then traveled to Stillwater, Oklahoma to take on No. 13 Oklahoma State on May 16 in NCAA Regionals. The Cougars fell by a score of 3-1 but would beat Arkansas 6-3 in a double elimination game on Friday. The Cougars season ended on Friday evening in a loss to Tulsa by a score of 4-6.
