We interrupt BYU Football Media Day to bring you some BYU Basketball scheduling news: BYU and Boise State announced Tuesday afternoon that they’ll play a two game home-and-home series with the first game coming later this year.

The Cougars have faced the Broncos 13 times before, with the most recent being a BYU win at the Marriott Center in 2008. BYU holds a 9-4 advantage in the series. Check out the all-time series here.
The first game in this newly announced series will be played on Nov. 20 at Taco Bell Arena in Boise (time TBA). The second game will be at the Marriott Center sometime in 2020. It’s a solid get for the Cougars’ non-conference schedule, which looks like it’s shaping up to be as competitive as it was last season (BYU will face teams like SDSU, UNLV, Nevada, and Houston).
Boise State plays in the Mountain West Conference and finished in 7th place last year with a 7-11 conference record, 13-20 overall. They lost to no. 14 Nevada in the MWC Tournament, and like BYU, did not play in the postseason. Boise State will return 11 players, while BYU will return 10 — including Yoeli Childs!
We’ll keep you posted on anyone else else BYU gets for their non-conference schedule. For now, check out BYU’s 2019 WCC schedule, and read about the Maui Invitational, where BYU could surely have some big opportunities.
Get pumped for the 2019-20 season, Bronco Nation!!
