For the fourth straight game, BYU will be an underdog — but that hasn’t fazed the Cougars the last two weeks.
Vegas released its Week 4 lines and opened with BYU as a 6.5-point underdog to #22 Washington. The Huskies are 2-1 on the season and coming off a 52-20 home win over Hawaii.
The Huskies beat BYU 35-7 last season in Seattle and look to be one of the top teams in the Pac 12 once again. Their loss this season was a 20-19 home loss to Cal. That game was a weird one, with a lightning delay forcing the game to resume at 10:30pm early in the first quarter. Most of the fans left and Cal took advantage and walked away with the win.
The Huskies have arguably the best offensive line in the Pac 12 and a big-armed QB in Georgia transfer Jacob Eason. Their defense has 9 new starters, but they return a lot of guys that took meaningful snaps and have one of the best defensive coordinators in the nation in Jimmy Lake.
BYU is flying high after two dramatic OT ones over P5 teams, but they’ll have to bring their A game if they want to upset the Huskies.
