The Cougars win snapped a 37 game home win streak for the Cardinal, and gave the Cardinal their second loss of the season. The Cougars move to 9-2 on the season.

The Cougars won a thrilling fourth set to seal the win, which saw the Cougars allow a 24-20 lead slip to go down 24-25. The teams would trade points until 29-29, when the Cougars finally took the lead and won on their 8th match point.
