One day after announcing that BYU and Utah will take a two-year hiatus in 2022 and 2023, BYU announced Tuesday morning that they scheduled a home-and-home series with Central Florida and Rice.

The first game versus UCF will be in Orlando on November 11, 2023, with the second game in Provo set for August 31, 2024. BYU and UCF have met twice in their history, with BYU winning in Provo in 2011 and UCF winning in Orlando in 2014. UCF has been the premier group of 5 team over the past few years, culminating with a 13-0 season in 2017 and a self-proclaimed national title.

BYU and Rice will first play September 29, 2023 in Provo, with the second game set for September 27, 2025 at Rice. BYU and Rice met in 1996 and 1997 as members of the 16-team WAC.

Overall, great add for BYU to get a home-and-home with UCF. The Golden Knights have been a consistent team over the past decade and will a great challenge for BYU. Rice gives Houston area fans a chance to catch a game in 2025.
