No. 9 BYU Women's Volleyball beat Portland on Saturday afternoon in straight sets 25-20, 25-21, 25-18.

The Pilots hung with the Cougars until 6-6, when BYU went on a 10-3 run. BYU would hold on to win the set 25-20, which was won on a service error from the Pilots.

Set Two was much tighter, with the Pilots keeping the score tied until 22-22. A late 3-0 run gave the Cougars the set win.

The third set was all BYU though, as they would win the set 25-18 to complete the sweep. BYU hit an impressive .402 in the win and are now 2-0 in conference play.

BYU will return home on Tuesday after three weeks away from the Smith Fieldhouse. They host Loyola Marymount at 7 p.m. MST before hitting the road again to play at Pacific on Thursday and at Saint Mary's on Saturday. LMU was handed BYU their only regular season loss during the 2018 season in last year's season finale, and BYU will no doubt look forward to that match on Tuesday.
