BYU Basketball will play the Portland Pilots Saturday night at the Marriott Center after an intense and thrilling overtime loss at Saint Mary’s Thursday.

BYU played without Yoeli Childs in Moraga, who was out with a finger injury. He very well could still be out Saturday night. The Cougars battled back from behind in Moraga to force overtime (with an amazing TJ Haws dunk and Dalton Nixon block), but fell just a little bit short when it came down to the very last play of OT and the Cougars were down three. The final score was 87-84.

Portland played at home against San Francisco last Saturday, and won that game 76-65. The Pilots did not play on Thursday. They are 1-1 in WCC play (loss to Gonzaga — though it was pretty close the whole game and the Pilots were up 7 at halftime). Portland is 9-8 on the season, while BYU is 12-5.
