BYU Basketball will play the San Diego Toreros at the Marriott Center in Provo Thursday night.
The BYU Cougars are 13-5 on the season and 2-1 in WCC play. Their last game was on Saturday at the Marriott Center against Portland. BYU won that game comfortably, 96-70. The San Diego game will mark BYU’s third without Yoeli Childs, since he dislocated his finger. He will be out this whole week, and maybe all of next week as well.
The San Diego Toreros are 7-12 overall and have yet to win a conference game. They’ve lost four in a row — to LMU, Santa Clara, Gonzaga, and then Pepperdine most recently. In that Saturday game against Pepperdine, the final score was 85-78. No. 1 Gonzaga, who BYU plays on Saturday, beat the Toreros 94-50. Yeah, it was ugly.
