#1 Gonzaga too much as BYU basketball falls in Spokane

BYU hung around for awhile, but the #1 team in the nation was too much as BYU fell to Gonzaga 92-69.

Yoeli Childs dressed and warmed up pregame, but was ultimately was held out for the fourth straight game. Gonzaga held BYU in check from the three point line and controlled the glass the whole night to prevent BYU from really threatening.

BYU shot 6-20 (30%) from three and lost the rebounding battle 38-21. TJ Haws led BYU with 17 points and 6 six assists and Jake Toolson added 16 points.

Five Gonzaga players ended in double figures, led by 22 points from Killian Tillie and 19 points from Corey Kispert. The Zags shot 56% from the the field and 43% from the three point line.

BYU faces a big road trip next week when they travel to Pacific and San Francisco.
