BYU Football announced today an extension to their series with the Stanford Cardinal. The 4 added games will be in Palo Alto in 2026 and 2028 and in Provo in 2031 and 2035. These new games will be added to the series that already had games slated for 2020, 2022, 2025, and 2029. The Cougars and Cardinal have met twice previously, with Stanford coming away with victories in 2003 and 2004.

Stanford is coming off a year riddled with injuries. They finished 5th in the Pac-12 North with a 4-8 record. BYU finished last year 7-6, but still failed to meet high expectations set by themselves and the fans. Next season is crucial for both of these programs, and they’ll each be looking to finish the regular season strong against each other when the teams meet in Palo Alto, California Thanksgiving weekend.
